This small-group day in Margaret River goes behind the scenes at family-owned boutique wineries, adds a guided coffee tasting and a stop in Boranup Forest, and breaks for lunch at Berry Farm. Coffee roastery. The day opens at a coffee roasting house, where a guide explains the roasting process and pours the tastings. Two boutique wineries. At two family-owned wineries you see the barrel room and the vineyard on a guided tour, learn how the wine is made and taste several styles of Margaret River wine. Lunch at Berry Farm. A home-cooked style lunch at the Berry Farm Cottage Cafe. Local hand-made produce such as jams and relishes, plus ciders, liqueurs and fortified wines, can be tasted and bought on site. Karri forest. The last stretch is in the quiet of Boranup Forest, a stop built around nature and the cultural connection to the land.

  1. 1 Tunbridge St, Margaret River

    Meet in the car park behind the Margaret River Visitor Centre, on Tunbridge St.

  2. Yahava KoffeeWorks

    The day starts at a coffee roasting house with a guided walk through the roasting process and a tasting of the coffee.

  3. Brown Hill Estate

    Two local boutique wineries with access behind the scenes: barrel room, working winery and a close look at the vineyard. Guided tastings cover wine making, tasting technique and a wide range of Margaret River wines.

  4. Berry Farm

    Lunch at Berry Farm, with home-style plates that fill you up. The setting is gardens and large flocks of native birds.

  5. Boranup Karri Forest

    A break for a nature and cultural connection to the land, in the forest, on the coast or at a secret spot. The guide shares wild flowers, native animals and hidden places along with the views.

  6. Redgate Wines

    The second boutique winery of the day, again with access to the barrel room, the working winery and the vineyard, followed by a guided tasting of Margaret River wines.

  7. Margaret River

    After the tour you can walk around Margaret River town centre using the guide's tips on bars, restaurants, live music and gelato. The guide can also help arrange a transfer back to your accommodation later in the evening.

  8. Margaret River Region

    The route covers different parts of the Margaret River region, with drives past farmland, vineyards and native bush. The guide adds local recommendations for the rest of your stay.
