Margaret River Boutique Wine Tour with Blind Tasting and Olio Bello Pizza Lunch
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
Margaret RiverThe morning starts with a chocolate tasting (coffee is available), then moves on to coastal views, some talk about the local climate and, from June to October, whale watching. Sightings are not guaranteed. The centrepiece is a guided blind tasting the operator calls a wine dissection. A simple tasting technique and template, which you keep using afterwards, helps you write your own notes and pick out colours, aromas and flavours. The aim is to describe any wine with confidence, anywhere. Lunch is at Olio Bello: woodfired pizzas, salads, wine and samples of olive oil and skincare products. The afternoon covers tastings at two boutique wineries, a glass of wine and a cheeseboard at a vineyard, and a brewery visit to close. The day mixes enjoyment with learning, and suits first-time visitors who want a closer connection to the region.
