Langaround builds full-day wine tours around the guests rather than from a fixed script. The glasses change from producer to producer, vintage to vintage, village to village and grape to grape, running from Barolo and Barbaresco to Barbera and Dolcetto. Most guests find a bottle worth taking home. A typical day has two or three winery visits, so that each tasting gets enough time. Between them comes lunch in a trattoria serving genuine local food. The rest of the day is spent with winemakers and among some of the most beautiful vineyards in the world.

  1. Langhe landscapes

The Langhe, in southern Piedmont, is the wine region where Barolo and Barbaresco are made. It was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in summer 2014. Smooth hills shaped by local farmers roll out beneath medieval castles. The area draws visitors who care about food and wine, and it is now regarded as a gourmet destination: good wine, local dishes and the finest white truffles.
