Kakheti Wine Tour for Beginners: Old Wine Factory, Family Winery and Artisan Cellar

Georgian wine is the subject of this one-day tour, which works as a first introduction to it and adds sightseeing between the tastings. Three wineries of different styles are on the route: an old wine factory, a family winery and an independent artisan winery. Each pours its best wines, traditional and modern, and explains the history and process of winemaking. Between tastings there are stops in Signagi, the city of love, at the Alazani Valley and at Bodbe convent. The day also brings two local specialities, Shoti, a white bread, and Guda, a strongly flavored sheep cheese. The pace is relaxed, and the whole day is about Kakhetian wine culture.
