Kakheti Day Trip from Tbilisi: Bodbe, Sighnaghi, Qvevri Wine and Nine Tastings
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
TbilisiA day in Kakheti that pairs wine with sightseeing. Two Georgian wineries are on the route, and the wines run from dry reds to sweet whites. A stop at a local bakery offers fresh Georgian bread and cheese; the bread and cheese tasting is paid on the spot. Between stops the route passes Bodbe, where St. Nino's Convent Cathedral stands, and Sighnaghi, with views over the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus Mountains and the Sighnaghi Wall, an 18th-century defensive fortification. Lunch in Sighnaghi is optional and paid separately. The wine side covers a family-owned cellar and KTW Winery, where guests learn how Georgians have made wine for centuries.
