This Kakheti day tour by Georgia Travel Adventure mixes history, wine and food in five stops, and ends with the drive back to Tbilisi. It starts in the village of Badiauri with a masterclass in baking Georgian bread in a traditional oven, eaten with local cheese. Bodbe Monastery follows, then Sighnaghi, the city of love, for a walk and a visit to the Great Wall of Sighnaghi, with a view over the Alazani Valley. The fourth stop is a wine cellar dating to the 18th century that holds non-material cultural heritage status. A local family hosts the meal there, with traditional Georgian food, red and white wine and chacha. The last stop is a qvevri master, who explains how the clay vessels are made and what sets them apart. Two wines are tasted straight from the qvevri. The drive back to Tbilisi takes about two hours.
