  1. Adelaide CBD, Adelaide

  2. Adelaide Hills

    The tour starts on the bus, with the guide talking through Adelaide, its history and what to do in town. The drive through the Adelaide Hills follows. Kangaroos and koalas can sometimes be spotted.

  3. Giant Rocking Horse Gumeracha

    First stop is the Big Rocking Horse at Gumeracha, one of South Australia's best-known icons. Time for a coffee and a photo with the horse. Viewing the horse is free, while feeding the kangaroos and climbing the horse cost a $5 entry fee, paid on the spot.

  4. Barossa Valley

    The drive from Gumeracha to the Barossa Valley has more wildlife to spot and commentary from the guide, and ends with the first vines of the valley.

  5. Kies Family Wines

    First tasting at Kies Family Winery, a family-owned and operated winery with the tag line 'A Taste of Happiness'.

  6. Rehn Bier

    From wine to beer at Rehn Bier in Tanunda. A tasting of locally brewed beers comes first, then a regional platter lunch of local produce, with a choice of wine, beer or soft drink included.

  7. Tanunda

    After lunch there is a choice: another wine tasting, or time on Tanunda's main street and its local shops.

  8. Chateau Tanunda

    The afternoon continues at Château Tanunda, a grand historic estate, with another premium Barossa wine tasting.

  9. Mengler Hill

    Mengler Hill Lookout has panoramic views over vineyards and countryside to the valley below.

  10. Melba's Chocolates Barossa

    A private chocolate tasting at Melba's Chocolates Barossa, sampling locally made favourites.

  11. Seppeltsfield Wines

    The last stop is the Seppeltsfield estate. An optional Seppeltsfield wine or an optional gin tasting is available.

    For those who skip another tasting: the historic estate, Vasse Virgin, local makers at the JamFactory, the grounds and free time.

The travel time to the first stop is approx. 50 mins, and the travel time from the Barossa Valley at the end of the day is approximately 60 mins. Don’t let this put you off. The tour starts from the moment you step on the bus to the moment you step off, and fun and expert guides share information and history on route as you relax and get to know your fellow travellers, while you enjoy the commentary
