Douro Valley Small Group from Porto: Three Tastings, Sabrosa Lunch, Amarante
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
PortoA small-group day in the Douro Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world's oldest wine regions, starting from Porto. Tastings come with local food: almonds, honey and traditional bread alongside Douro red, white and rosé wines. The route passes Pinhão's historic train station, known for the blue and white Portuguese tiles that tell the story of the region's wine heritage. A traditional boat cruise on the Douro River, with its terraced vineyards, is optional. Lunch is at a family-owned winery, served with DOC Douro wines and several labels of Port. The day ends in Amarante with a tasting of Vinho Verde and regional delicacies. Transport is an air-conditioned vehicle with onboard Wi-Fi, and the group size is kept small.
