Douro Valley 10-Hour Small Group from Porto: Amarante, Quinta do Seixo, Rabelo Cruise
The long version of this Douro trip takes 10 hours from Porto. It starts in Amarante, a town with plenty of history and architecture, then goes on to Quinta do Seixo for a guided Port wine tour and tasting among the vines. Lunch is a traditional Portuguese meal. Afterward a Rabelo boat cruise shows the valley from the Douro River. The day closes at the Olive Oil Museum, with tastings of wines, olive oil, honey and almonds. A 6-hour option skips Amarante and goes straight to Quinta do Seixo, followed by lunch and a stop at the Miradouro de Casal de Loivos. Meet at Igreja da Lapa, or choose hotel pickup for an extra fee. The valley is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
