Douro Valley Premium Small Group from Porto: Port Tasting, Boat Ride, Farm Lunch
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
PortoSmall groups keep this Douro day away from the crowds and closer to local life. The operator puts its guides, wines and chosen wineries ahead of the standard tours. The first stop is a port wine producer, Quinta da Roêda, with a personal walk through the vineyards and an explanation of how port is made. The tasting comes with a selection of Portuguese cheeses. Next is a one-hour boat ride on the river, a calm stretch for looking at the Douro Valley's scenery. Lunch is served at a farm overlooking the vineyards, with a choice of fish, meat or vegetarian dishes, and it is included in the price. The second winery is a small table wine producer, which makes for more contact with local people. The visit ends with an olive oil tasting.
