PortoA premium day in the Douro region, built around wine, scenery and local food. Pickup is from accommodation in Porto or Vila Nova de Gaia. The day moves through two Douro wine estates, each with a guided visit and a tasting. A traditional lunch with Douro DOC wines is served at the first estate. A scenic river cruise at Pinhão takes in the terraced vineyards of the valley, and there is a short stop in the town of Amarante along the way.

Porto
The day starts with pickup at your accommodation in Porto or Vila Nova de Gaia.
Amarante
A riverside town known for its bridge over the Tâmega River, the São Gonçalo Church and its traditional pastries. A short stop to look around.
The Douro Valley
First wine estate, guided tour and tasting. A prestigious Douro estate such as Quinta do Val Moreira, Quinta do Panascal or similar. A guided tour of the vineyards and cellars is followed by a tasting of three local wines.
The Douro Valley
Lunch at the same estate, all inclusive: regional starters, a main course, dessert and drinks, paired with Douro wines.
Douro River
A 50-minute cruise along the Douro River. The terraced vineyards and scenery are part of why the region is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Douro Valley
Second wine estate, such as Quinta do Beijo, Quinta da Foz, Quinta Seara D’Ordens or Quinta do Portal. A guided visit is followed by a tasting of three Douro and Port wines.
Porto
The scenic drive back to Porto closes the day in the Douro Valley.
