PortoThe day starts in Porto, in a Mercedes van bound for the UNESCO-listed Douro Valley. A stop at a little-known viewpoint breaks up the drive. The first winery is family-owned. The visit covers viticulture, winemaking and aging, and ends with a tasting of the estate's wines. The river cruise lasts one hour and comes with regional snacks and a cocktail. The second winery serves a homemade Portuguese lunch with its own wines, and the group then walks through the vineyards.

The meeting point is in front of the McDonalds Imperial in the main square of Porto, Praça da Liberdade 126. Arrive 5 minutes before departure.
Sabrosa
The group usually enters the Douro Valley through the town of Sabrosa. From here begins what is often considered the most scenic stretch of the valley.
Pinhao
The first stop is a family-owned winery, where a wine expert leads the visit through the traditions of Douro winemaking. It ends with a tasting of the estate's finest wines.
One-hour Douro boat cruise
A one-hour boat ride along the banks of the Douro Valley, close to the N222 road. Regional snacks and a drink are served on board.
Peso Da Regua
The second winery serves a three-course lunch with three Douro wines, each chosen to go with the food.
