Castiglione Falletto Family Winery Tour: Barolo, Barbaresco and Seven Wines
This family has made wine in the hills of the Langhe for centuries, and the winery stands in Castiglione Falletto, in Barolo country, close to the medieval village of Castiglione. The Langhe wine region is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Charles, the owner, goes with visitors through the whole visit. It starts with a walk through the vineyards and moves on to the cellar, where he explains how the wines are produced. Children and pets are welcome. The tasting is seven wines, among them Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera and Moscato, served with local cold cuts and cheese. Anyone curious about how Piedmont wine is made gets to ask the family that makes it.

The stop is a long-established family winery in Castiglione Falletto, in the Langhe hills and Barolo country, where the family has made wine for generations. The visit opens with a guided walk through the vineyards. Then the owner, Charles, leads the way into the cellar and explains how the wines are made. The tasting covers seven wines, including Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera and Moscato, plus two artisanal liqueurs. Each is served with local cured meats, cheeses and homemade bread. Children and pets are welcome.
