Amarone Half-Day Tasting from Verona: Two Family Wineries, Private Minivan for Eight
This half-day trip leaves from the historic center of Verona for the Valpolicella hills and the wine it is known for, Amarone. The guide meets the group in town, and everyone travels in a private minivan carrying a maximum of eight guests. Two wineries are on the route, chosen because they are family-run, authentic and committed to sustainable winemaking. At each, the producers themselves lead the visit through the cellar and tell the story of the estate, how they make their wines and how those wines tie to the Valpolicella territory. Every winery pours a guided tasting of four wines, Amarone della Valpolicella among them, with a selection of local products alongside.

Marano di Valpolicella
The first winery is small and family-run. The producer shows how the wine is stored and aged, then leads a tasting of four wines and explains what sets each label apart.
Negrar di Valpolicella
The second winery is also family-run, with a more modern approach. The producer shows the different areas of the cellar before a tasting of four wines, which makes it easy to compare styles with the first stop.
