3-Hour Châteauneuf-du-Pape Wine Tour from Avignon: Two Estates, Six Wines, Two Whites
New vehicle from March 2026. Arnaud, a native guide of Provence who runs five circuits, leads this one to Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The tour visits two of the appellation's most renowned estates, and the tasting covers at least six different wines. Two of them are whites. White wine makes up only a small share of Châteauneuf-du-Pape production and is hard to find abroad, so it is worth tasting on the spot. Chateauneuf-du-Pape
30 minutes by car from Avignon. The first estate is one of the oldest in the appellation, built more than 300 years ago. The tasting covers the reds and the whites, which are only a small share of production. The cellar keeps the traditional blend: the 13 grape varieties of the appellation in the reds, the 6 white varieties in the whites. About 1 hour. The second estate is historic too and one of the largest in the appellation. Reds and whites again, but with a more modern blend built on Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. About 1 hour. The description is not exhaustive, since it depends on which cellars are available. Then 30 minutes back to Avignon.
