  1. Yarra Valley

Victoria's Yarra Valley wine region, only one hour from Melbourne.

  2. Greenstone Vineyards

Greenstone sits on a single site an hour's drive from Melbourne. Its winery and cellar door are at the base of the Christmas Hills, with views of the estate vineyard and the Great Dividing Range. Winemaking is done on the same site.

  3. Balgownie Estate

Balgownie is tucked just off the Melba Hwy, with wide views and an exhibit on the history of winemaking. Cellar door staff pour their wines, then guests can sit with the view or walk around.

  4. Balgownie Estate Lunch

At Balgownie, the cellar door tasting is followed by a 1-course lunch in the restaurant, including a glass of wine and tea or coffee.

  5. Yering Farm Wines

A converted old hay shed at the top of the hill serves as the rustic cellar door, with views. Wines follow traditional winemaking techniques, and antique cooper tools used by pioneer winemakers over a century ago are on display.

  6. Soumah

Cool climate conditions let Soumah focus on styles typical of northern Italy and south-eastern France. It has won awards for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and is passionate about northern Italian varieties. The tasting looks over rolling vineyard hills and the Warramate Hills.

  7. Yarra Valley

A day in the Yarra Valley.
