Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
FlorenceThis day tour from Florence links four Tuscan stops in a fixed order. It opens in Pisa, where there is time for the cathedral, the baptistery, the monumental cemetery and the Leaning Tower. Leaning Tower tickets can be added to the booking. The next stop is a typical winery in the Chianti hills, on the slopes of San Gimignano. Lunch is light and comes with a tasting of 3 wines. In San Gimignano afterwards, the time goes on cobbled lanes, small squares and local craft shops. A panoramic drive through the Chianti countryside leads to Siena. A professional guide (with the guided option) walks through the main squares, from Piazza del Campo to the cathedral, passing some of the city's contrade. The tour then leaves free time for coffee, the local cake Pan Forte and shopping in local shops. The group returns to Florence in the evening.

Duomo di Pisa
The cathedral is the oldest of the three structures on the square. The baptistery and the Leaning Tower stand next to it.
Camposanto
The Monumental Cemetery comes with a legend: bodies buried in its ground are said to decompose in just 24 hours.
Piazza dei Miracoli
Piazza dei Miracoli is Pisa's most visited attraction. Free time here goes to the Leaning Tower, the cathedral and the baptistery, or to the green lawn in the shade of one of the monuments. An option that includes Leaning Tower entrance is available.
Battistero di San Giovanni
The baptistery is the largest in Italy: 54 m high, 34 m in diameter, and built between 1152 and 1363.
Strada Statale 222 Chiantigiana
The road to the wine estate crosses Chianti countryside. The winery is rustic and sits on the slopes of San Gimignano. The tasting comes with local specialties: bruschetta, pecorino cheese and a variety of cold cuts.
San Gimignano
After lunch comes San Gimignano, the "Medieval Manhattan", with a maze of cobbled streets, small squares and many local craft shops.
Piazza del Duomo
Piazza del Duomo was the center of San Gimignano's religious and political life in the Middle Ages. It takes its name from the Collegiate Church, there since the 11th century. The square reached its present form in the first half of the 13th century, when the town's economy and political weight were at their peak. The main public buildings and the "rotation" of the cathedral date from then, with a new facade facing the old Palazzo del Podestà. Today the square slopes slightly and is paved in brick.
Piazza Della Cisterna
Piazza della Cisterna and Piazza del Duomo are the two main squares of San Gimignano, joined by an open passage. Piazza della Cisterna is triangular, with a gentle slope and herringbone brick paving. Noble houses and medieval towers line its sides.
Siena
A panoramic drive through the Chianti countryside leads to Siena. With the guided option, a professional guide covers the main squares, from Piazza del Campo to the cathedral, passing through some of the city's contrade. Free time follows for coffee, Pan Forte (the local cake) and shopping in local shops.
Piazza del Campo
Piazza del Campo, or simply the Campo, is the main square of Siena. Its shell shape is unique, and it is known worldwide for its beauty and architectural unity. The Palio di Siena is held here twice a year.
Duomo di Siena
The cathedral of Siena, officially the metropolitan cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, is the city's main Catholic church and the seat of the archdiocese of Siena-Colle di Val d'Elsa-Montalcino. It stands on the square of the same name, in the Terzo di Città. Built in the Italian Romanesque-Gothic style, it is one of the most significant churches in that style in Italy.
Return to Florence
The tour returns in the evening to the same point in the city center.
