The day mixes guided activities with free time, and it covers Monteriggioni, Siena, the Chianti region and San Gimignano. The minivan leaves at 9:00am and returns to Porta Romana at 6:00pm.

Piazza della Calza, 1, Firenze
Meet in Piazza della Calza, right in front of Porta Romana, at the blue P (parking) sign at 08.45am. The tour departs at 09:00am sharp.
Florence
08:45am: the guide and the other travelers meet near Porta Romana, then leave by minivan for Tuscany.
Monteriggioni
The first stop is Monteriggioni, the best-preserved medieval village in Tuscany. The fortress town was a filming location for Gladiator and one of the locations for Assassin's Creed. On the drive, the tour leader shares facts about Tuscany and its cuisine.
Siena
The second stop is Siena. An orientation walk passes the artisan shops and ends at Piazza del Campo, where the Palio is run every July and August. Free time follows to explore on your own, and the cathedral is worth a visit.
Ulignano
The route crosses the Chianti region, the home of Tuscan wine. A local winery is next, with a tasting of 7 wines, extra virgin olive oils and balsamic vinegar, plus a traditional Tuscan meal.
San Gimignano
San Gimignano is the next destination. On the way, the guide gives each traveler a map and tips for the best places in town. The UNESCO World Heritage Site, known as the 'Manhattan of Tuscany', is open to explore freely along cobblestone paths, piazzas and palaces.
Porta Romana
After a 1-hour drive, the minivan is back at Porta Romana at 6:00pm.
