Guided Chianti Bus Tour from Florence: Vineyard Walk, Vinegar Cellar and 7-Wine Tasting

A tour leader rides with the group by bus from Florence to Chianti and talks about the area on the drive through vineyard country. At the winery, the visit begins with a walk through the vines and an explanation of grape varieties, soil and cultivation. A glass of local sparkling wine comes first. Then a stop in the vinegar cellar shows how Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and vin santo are made. The guided tasting in the tasting room covers seven wines: white, red, sparkling and vin santo. They are paired with local foods that change by season, among them cold cuts, cheeses, organic extra virgin olive oil, truffle and chili oils, aged balsamic vinegar and balsamic vinegar with Certaldo onions.
