Piazzale Flaminio, 20, Roma
Arrive 15 minutes early, in front of Pizza Dolce Cucina under the trees. Staff wear red and hold a red "The Tour Guy" sign. The meeting point is near Flaminio Metro Station (Line A, the orange line). By taxi, ask the driver to stop at "Piazzale Flaminio, 20".
Civita di Bagnoregio
The coach stops at the base of Civita di Bagnoregio, an ancient village on a crumbling volcanic plateau. A pedestrian bridge links the isolated town to the modern world, with valley views on both sides.
Montepulciano
The next stop is a family-run winery in the Montepulciano countryside. The tasting starts with local products: pecorino, prosciutto, salame, capocollo and bruschetta with olive oil. If time allows, the small cellar museum is open to explore. Lunch is warm and rustic, with handmade pici pasta in a traditional aglione sauce and three wines. Cantucci and Vin Santo close the meal.
Pienza
Pienza is a Renaissance hill town, and the stop gives 1 hour of free time. The streets are honey-colored, the food shops are worth a look, and the views reach across the Val d'Orcia.
