The Hunter Valley is known for Semillon, but it also grows award-winning Shiraz, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Verdelho. Guests walk among vineyards and visit boutique cellar doors, each picked for good customer service and quality wine: two tastings before lunch and one in the afternoon.

Lunch is a cafe-style meal at Cypress Lakes, in Hunter Valley Village. Afterwards there is time for the boutique shops and galleries, and for a cheese-making session at the Hunter Valley Cheese Factory. With time left, options include the Hunter Valley Chocolate Company, The British Lolly Shop, Kissofire Hunter Valley Liqueurs or The Garden Cellars. Any extra tastings are at the guest's own expense.
