This is a small-group ride through Tuscan wine country on carefully chosen, gentle horses. Beginners are welcome, and each rider is matched to a horse that suits them. The day pairs time in the saddle with a winery farm lunch, then a walk through San Gimignano. Along the way the group meets the people, food and wine of the region.

  1. Via Curtatone, 9, Firenze

About a 5-minute walk from the central train station, right in front of Cafe Gamberini.

  2. San Gimignano

Each rider is matched to a horse, and no experience is needed. The horses are gentle and carefully selected. The ride crosses vineyards, hills with wide views and olive groves, through the Tuscan countryside.

  3. San Gimignano

Stop at a winery farm for a typical Tuscan lunch. A guided tasting of local products goes with the meal, including well-known wines and high-quality extra virgin olive oil, among other things.

  4. San Gimignano old town

San Gimignano is a medieval village in wine country, often called the medieval Manhattan, with Etruscan and Roman origins and very well preserved. The group wanders its narrow streets past the towers, Piazza della Cisterna, Piazza del Duomo and other scenic spots. For a sweet snack, there is an optional stop at the home-made gelato of Dondoli.

  5. Dondoli gelato stop

Home-made gelato from a world champion, at one of the best-known gelato shops in Italy.
