Semi-Private Rioja Day from Bilbao: Haro Cellar, Family Bodegas and Laguardia
This semi-private day from Bilbao visits three wineries in Rioja, the Spanish region behind the bold, fruity red blends that made its name with wine lovers. The wineries are historic and emblematic ones, and their wines rate in the top 100 of Rioja with more than 90 Parker Points. Tastings cover both red and white wines, which gives a fair overview of the region. The route also passes estates with striking architecture, including the Frank Gehry-designed building at Marqués de Riscal. A guided walk inside the walls of Laguardia, a medieval Basque town, adds the scenery of the surrounding Ebro Valley.
