Semi-Private Mercedes Van Wine Day from Florence: San Gimignano and Prosecco

FlorenceA semi-private day of wine in a black, air-conditioned Mercedes van, moving from one cellar to the next through the Tuscan countryside. Two wineries are on the route, with a selection of Chianti wines to taste, and lunch is included. San Gimignano is the other half of the day, a walled village known for its towers and for its ice cream. The van carries WiFi, with a pocket hotspot for each couple, and a bottle of water for every passenger. At the end of the tour a bottle of Prosecco is opened for a happy hour on the road back.

The tour starts at 8:00. Arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes in advance.
Piazzale Michelangelo
Pick-up at 8:00, then a 15-minute drive to Piazzale Michelangelo, a large square with a panoramic view of Florence and a bronze replica of Michelangelo's David.
San Gimignano
At 8:30, a one-hour drive to San Gimignano, a walled town full of history, known for its towers and its ice cream. Free time here is 1 hour 25 minutes.
San Casciano in Val di Pesa
At 10:55, a 50-minute drive to a typical Tuscan farmhouse with a cellar in the Chianti area. Lunch of regional food and Italian wines, with views over the countryside. Time here is 2 hours 30 minutes.
San Michele a Torri
At 14:30, a 25-minute drive to San Michele a Torri and a family-run wine estate in the province of Florence, for more Chianti wines to taste. Time here is 45 minutes.
Florence
At 15:50, a 40-minute drive back to the pick-up point, arriving by 16:30 and leaving the afternoon in Florence free.

For all other locations private residences and B&B the meeting points is: In front of Hotel Boccaccio-Tino Caffè, Via della Scala 59 (one minute walking distance from Santa Maria Novella train station), Florence at 8,00 am. Please arrive 15 minutes before scheduled departure time. If you wish you can have breakfast there, English or continental or just a "cappuccino".
