Santorini 4-Hour Small-Group Wine Tour: Argyros, Anhydrous and Karamolegos Wineries

SantoriniA local guide leads this 4-hour small-group tour through three traditional wineries and cellars in the Santorini countryside. The route includes a walk through a working vineyard on volcanic soil, where the island's unusual viticulture is explained on the spot. In each cellar the group sees where the wines are bottled and matured. Between 10 and 12 wines are sampled, among them Assyrtiko, Nykteri and Vinsanto, and the tastings are paired with local cheese and snacks; any other food and drink is paid separately. Wine styles from both Santorini and the rest of Greece are on the list.

Santorini Tours
The tour covers Santorini's most distinct wineries and traditional cellars in about 4 hours, with a traditional settlement of historic houses, blue-domed churches and old mansions along the way. 10-12 glasses of wine are tasted across three wineries from the operator's list, depending on availability on the day.
Estate Argyros
Estate Argyros is a modern winery on the outskirts of Episkopi-Gonia, about 5.5 km southeast of Fira. Its spacious tasting room has ocean views. Assyrtiko is the main grape here, as at most Santorini wineries, alongside an Aidani wine. The Mavrotragano red scored 93/100 from Wine Advocate.
Anhydrous Winery
Anhydrous Winery was founded in 2021 by Apostolos Mountrikas of Avantis Estate, who began his Santorini project in 2012 after falling for the Assyrtiko grape. His approach is to experiment with ancient winemaking techniques and produce modern wines that keep pure varietal character.
Artemis Karamolegos Winery
At Artemis Karamolegos Winery the group tastes more wines from the day's list, with an assortment of local cheese and olives, and hears part of Santorini's story through its winemaking.
