Santorini is known for its wine, and this private tour goes through the range with a guide and wine experts. Along the way you pick up the basics of tasting and of pairing wine with food. The guide also takes photos of the caldera and the sunset. Pickup is from a hotel, the port or the airport. The first winery is a traditional one, among the oldest on the island, where you see old-style winemaking and the wine museum. The second is a modern winery with up-to-date techniques, and the visit includes a walk among the vineyard. The last winery hangs over the cliffs. Seats there are limited, so groups may be merged. The tasting takes place at sunset, and the tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel.

  1. Wine Museum Koutsogiannopoulos

The first winery is old and traditional, carved into the land and in constant use for 150 years. Its wine museum, among the best in the world, comes first, and the tasting follows.

  2. Estate Argyros

A modern winery with current methods. A walk through the vineyards gives a close look at the grapes, then a tour of the facilities leads to the tasting, with wine and local snacks. Allergies should be reported in advance.

  3. Santo Wines

Santo Wines is the last stop, and a spot to watch Santorini's sunset. A bottle of white, red or rosé goes with it as the sun sets over the sea and the volcano's shadow. The guide takes photos of the moment.
