Rome to Tuscany Day Trip: Tenuta Il Quinto Tasting, Countryside Lunch and Big Bench #300
This day trip from Rome to Tuscany is built around a short list of stops rather than a long coach schedule. The day starts with hotel pickup in Rome and moves through the Tuscan countryside to a traditional estate, Tenuta Il Quinto, for a wine tasting with light snacks. Lunch is a traditional local meal at a countryside restaurant, usually Podere L’Aione. A second tasting follows at Enoteca Scansanese, where a guide explains how the regional wine varieties differ and lets guests compare them side by side. The route also stops at Big Bench #300, an oversized public bench from the Big Bench Community Project with open views over vineyards and hills. There is a small surprise for guests here. Guided stops are balanced with free time to walk around, take photos and set the pace. The group returns to Rome by air-conditioned vehicle, with drop-off at or near the pickup point.

Tenuta Il Quinto
Tenuta Il Quinto is a traditional estate set among rolling hills and vineyards in the Tuscan countryside. Guests learn about local winemaking here. The stop includes a tasting of regional wines with light snacks, plus time to take photos of the views.
Podere L'Aione
Lunch is usually at Podere L’Aione, a countryside restaurant surrounded by vineyards and hills, serving a traditional local meal. In rare cases the restaurant is swapped for a similar local venue, for reasons of availability or operations. The alternative serves equivalent Tuscan food. The dishes are regional and made with local ingredients, and there is time to slow down.
Enoteca Scansanese
At Enoteca Scansanese, a guide leads a tasting of a wide selection of Tuscan wines and explains the key differences between the local varieties and what sets each style and region apart. The aim is to compare and find the wines that suit your own taste.
Big Bench #300
Big Bench #300 belongs to the Big Bench Community Project. This oversized public bench looks out over vineyards, hills and farmland. There is time to take photos and enjoy the panorama from the elevated spot. A small surprise waits for guests at this stop.
