Private VIP Champagne Day from Paris: Eight Tastings, Michelin Lunch, Boutique Estate
A wine expert guide stays with you for the whole of this premium private day from Paris. It starts with a drive out to Champagne and a fresh croissant, while the guide covers the region's history and traditions. The morning goes to a top producer, such as Ruinart, Taittinger, Moët & Chandon or Veuve Clicquot. You go through the cellars, learn how the wine is made and taste the house's iconic cuvées. Between stops the route runs through vineyards, and the guide explains the three grape varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Lunch is at a Michelin-starred restaurant, with Champagne paired to the courses. In the afternoon a second, high-end boutique estate opens its cellars for a look at winemaking techniques and a tasting of authentic Champagnes. The day ends with drop-off at your hotel.
