Self-Guided E-Bike Loop from Florence to Fiesole, Settignano and a Chianti Vineyard
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
FlorenceThe route is self-guided by GPS, on e-bikes collected at the shop in Florence. It climbs to Fiesole, then descends through cypress woods and past Castello di Vincigliata to Settignano, where a small food shop serves home-cooked Italian dishes. From Settignano the ride continues to the PoggioPiano vineyard. The Galardi family owns an organic Chianti vineyard and olive grove near Al Girone, and riders sit on the estate with a glass of the wine made there, bought on the spot. Tuscan cheeses, cured meats and bread with the family's own extra virgin olive oil are also on sale, and are not part of the tour price. The way back follows dedicated cycle paths along the Arno into Florence and up to Piazzale Michelangelo, for the skyline view. The bikes are returned to the shop afterward.
