The guides adjust the day to the guest, whether that is a casual amateur or a serious collector. The aim is to make Burgundy's wines easier to understand: a map read out in the vineyard, plain explanations of winemaking in the cellar, and the story of the region's wines from the Roman Empire to today. The guides are qualified specialists who are enthusiasts too. Meetings with producers give access to high-quality wines, among them the Grands Crus and Premiers Crus that Burgundy is known for. The day includes: - Two domain visits - A tasting of 12 wines, 4 of them Grands Crus and Premiers Crus - An explanation of vineyard work and vinification techniques - Meetings with Burgundy specialists and/or winemakers - The history of Burgundy wines, from the Roman Empire to the present
