This private Cape Winelands tour is built around local wine and food culture. It visits wineries in the valleys of the Cape Winelands and tells how South Africa's wine culture developed. A qualified guide picks guests up at a suggested but flexible 09:00. The tour lasts between 6 and 8 hours and includes 4 wineries in the Cape Winelands, plus 3 of the oldest towns in the area. Across the tastings, guests can choose from a wide variety of wines.

Cape Town Central
After the 9:00 am pickup at your accommodation, a scenic drive leads from Cape Town to Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.
Stellenbosch
The stop begins with a town orientation tour. Stellenbosch is the second oldest town in South Africa, with more than 200 award-winning wine estates. Stellenbosch University, with more than 27,000 students a year, is also here.
Delaire Graff Estate
The first tasting is at Delaire Graff, called the Jewel of the Cape Winelands for its wines and views. Guests taste 5 premium wines chosen from 6, and the guide helps with photos. It is a luxury, modern estate.

Tokara Wine Estate
Tokara is 5 minutes from Delaire Graff by road. It is known for red wines from cultivars such as Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, award-winning olive oil and Stellenbosch views. The tasting covers up to 4 selected premium wines. It is a luxury, modern estate.

Franschhoek
The route drives through Franschhoek, known as the food and wine capital of South Africa, with some of the finest restaurants and wine estates in the country. The guide explains the French influence on the Cape Winelands, and there is a photo stop at the French Huguenot Monument. Lunch is served in Franschhoek.
Fairview Wine and Cheese
The last tasting is at Fairview, one of the most popular wine-tasting destinations in the Cape Winelands. Up to 6 wines, red and white, are paired with 6 selected cheeses.
