This tour is for cruise ship passengers arriving in Picton, New Zealand. It runs for 5 to 6 hours and visits four wineries in the Marlborough wine region, plus a boutique chocolate factory. There is a walk through the vineyards and a chance to taste wines such as Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. Groups are limited to 11 people, and the timing is tailored to cruise passengers, whose schedules differ from the standard daily tours. Please note: Picton has no cruise terminal. Passengers leave the ship on shuttle buses to the Picton i-Site, where all tour participants are met.

  1. The Foreshore, Picton

    Free shuttle buses run to the Picton i-Site, a 10-minute trip. Get off by the toilets, turn left and walk into the car park, where a sign reads 'prebooked tours'. If the vehicles are not in view, wait there and the guides will find you.

  2. Four cellar doors

    Four cellar doors are visited. One is a lunch stop, paid for on the day, and there is also a stop at the boutique chocolate shop.

  3. Makana Confections

    A short stop with a free sample of chocolates that are distinctly New Zealand. The chocolates can be watched being made.

  4. The Foreshore, Picton

  • Lunch ( extra cost). Usually a lunch stop -but tours after 12.30 will just have a snack stop
