Paris Wine Day Tours runs this Champagne day trip around three house visits. The day opens with a French breakfast on the road from Paris while the guide tells the story of the region. In Reims the group sees the cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where French kings were crowned. Next is a guided visit of the Champagne Mumm cellars, followed by the first tasting. Lunch is three courses with wine and coffee in an Art Deco restaurant. The afternoon starts at a second Champagne house with a different style and atmosphere. The last stop is Hautvillers, the village regarded as the birthplace of Champagne, where a family-owned estate pours the third tasting.
