This all-inclusive day trip from Paris covers transport, a three-course French lunch, Champagne tastings and a guide, with pickup at your hotel or Airbnb and a flexible drop-off. It opens in Reims at Notre-Dame Cathedral, where French kings were crowned. The road then runs through vineyards to Épernay, the capital of Champagne. There are two very different cellar visits: a small family-owned estate with its winemakers, and a large, prestigious Champagne house (or an equivalent renowned producer, subject to availability). Along the way the guide runs a blind tasting that sets Champagne against Crémant, and shows how to open a bottle with a sabre. The afternoon leaves free time on the Avenue de Champagne, the street lined with famous houses.

  1. Paris

Pickup at your hotel or Airbnb in Paris, then the drive toward Champagne. A short comfort stop at a service area is possible, depending on timing and traffic, for restrooms, coffee or snacks.

  2. Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Reims

Reims Cathedral is a major Gothic church and the traditional site of French royal coronations. About 30 minutes of free time to take photos and, if it is open, step inside to see the stained glass. The guide adds some history when possible.

  3. Champagne

A small, family-owned producer. A guided tour of the estate and its cellars covers traditional methods and the family's history, and ends with a tasting of their Champagnes.

  4. Champagne

A traditional French lunch of three courses (starter, main course and dessert), included in the price and served at a relaxed pace.

  5. Champagne-Ardenne

A large Champagne house such as Veuve Clicquot, Moët & Chandon, Taittinger or Nicolas Feuillatte, depending on availability. A guided tour of the production areas and cellars shows how Champagne is made at scale, in contrast to the family estate.

  6. Avenue de Champagne

The Avenue de Champagne in Épernay, often called the most prestigious street in Champagne and home to some of its best-known houses. The guide explains its history, then there is free time to walk and take photos in this UNESCO-listed area.

  7. Champagne

At one of the scenic stops, the guide/driver hosts a blind tasting comparing sparkling wines, Crémant and Champagne included, and demonstrates sabrage, opening a bottle with a sabre.

  8. Paris

The driver/guide returns the group to the original pickup spot in Paris. A different drop-off in Paris can be requested, subject to the guide's approval and traffic. Raise it with the guide during the day.
