Niagara-on-the-Lake Afternoon Boutique Winery Tour with Cheese Pairing, Groups of 4-10

Niagara Falls & AroundThis 3.5 to 4 hour winery tour goes to the smaller, grassroots estates of Niagara-on-the-Lake, where the tastings happen in barrel cellars and private tasting rooms. Guests meet wine lovers, sommeliers and sometimes the winemakers themselves. The tastings cover 9 to 12 Ontario VQA wines: white, red, rose, sparkling and ice wines. At one winery a market-fresh cheese platter is paired with a tutored tasting, to show how food and wine work together. Each winery has a boutique for buying bottles to take home. Groups are small, usually 4 to 10 guests. Weekends are busier, and a midweek date leaves more room for personal attention.

Three boutique estate wineries
Three cottage and boutique estate wineries, each with a tasting of Ontario VQA wines. Pickup is at the tour centre or at a local inn or B&B, and local guides drive. The wines include white, red, rose, late harvest, sparkling and ice wine, and each winery boutique sells wines and gifts. One stop pairs local artisan cheeses, crackers and preserves with three wines. Gluten-free options are available.
