Hunter ValleyIvanhoe Wines makes boutique and premium wines, and none are sold in bottle shops. The only place to buy them is the cellar door. The wine hosts are friendly and know their subject. They help you find the wines you like during an informal tasting. The range covers white, red and fortified wines. An engraving service lets you personalise a purchase, for a birthday or a wedding, for example. The estate is an 80 acre vineyard with views across the vines. Sculptures along the grounds make a short walk worth taking.
