Florence to Chianti with Towns of Italy: 3 Wineries, Olive Oil Mill and 3-Course Lunch
Towns of Italy runs this day out of Florence in a Mercedes minivan through the Chianti Classico region, past vineyards, olive trees and medieval villages. The stops are three award-winning wineries with tastings of Chianti and Chianti Classico, cellar visits and a walk through the vines. There is also a historic property where olive oil is explained, and a medieval village in the Chianti region to explore. Lunch is a 3-course Tuscan meal at a boutique estate. Along the way, the guide teaches how to judge wine, from aroma to finish. A semi-private version is also offered, limited to 8 guests and led by a certified wine expert. It adds premium tastings, longer cellar visits and a focus on Super Tuscan wines.

Arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time. The meeting point is Via dei Vagellai, 22 red, on the corner with Piazza Mentana, across from the Arno.
Florence
The day starts in Florence, where the professional guide meets the group. A Mercedes minibus then climbs into the Tuscan hills, and the guide introduces Chianti Classico on the way.
Tuscany
An old noble estate among olive groves and cypresses, with a guided visit to a well-preserved olive oil mill that mixes old methods with modern ones. The visit follows extra virgin oil from harvest to press and ends with a guided tasting that shows how texture, color and flavor change with terrain and method, and how to pair oil with food.

A boutique winery in Chianti Classico. The sommelier leads the group through historic cellars and sunlit vineyards and explains how Sangiovese, Canaiolo and other native grapes are blended. A tasting of selected vintages covers aroma, structure, acidity and finish.

Free time in a medieval Chianti village to walk the cobbled streets, browse the local bottegas and photograph the piazza. The guide adds notes on the area's history and culture.

A second winery serves a 3-course Tuscan lunch with paired wines, made with fresh local ingredients in a small rustic room. The sommelier explains the pairings and how Chianti wines work with regional cooking.
Florence
The return to Florence comes as the sun sets over the vineyards, with last views of olive groves and castles and a chance to put remaining questions on wine, olive oil or Tuscan traditions to the sommelier. The vehicle is a Mercedes minivan or Mercedes Sprinter.
