Here the wine tour is something you drive. Guests take the wheel of a fully electric Fiat Topolino, a small car in the Italian style, and follow a professional tour escort along countryside roads past vineyards, olive groves and medieval Tuscan scenery. A support vehicle is available along the route. A bus or minivan tour keeps you in a seat. This one puts you behind the wheel on a planned itinerary, with a stop at a Chianti winery where the staff explain how the local wine is made. Wine and olive oil are tasted there, followed by a typical Tuscan meal. Two options are sold. The solo option gives one driver a Topolino of their own. The double option shares one car between a driver and a passenger.

  1. Via dei Vagellai, 22 R, Firenze

    The tour leader waits at Via dei Vagellai 22r in Florence, on the corner with Piazza Mentana and on the opposite side of the Arno River.

  2. Florence

    Meet the tour leader at Via dei Vagellai 22r in Florence at least 15 minutes before departure. The drive to Chianti takes about 35 minutes through hills, vineyards and olive groves, with the guide telling stories about the area on the way.

  • The maximum load the TOPOLINO can tolerate is 170 kg / 374 lbs (whether one or two people, bags included). At check-in, Towns of Italy reserves the right to exclude participants from this tour if these requirements are not met. Maximum height 1,90m (6,3 feet). No refund will be due.
  • Pets are not permitted on board, to avoid any allergy-related issues and ensure the comfort of all passengers. Please refrain from consuming food and beverages on board, except for water.
  • No flip flops permitted for drivers.
  • RAIN POLICY: The tour departure will never be cancelled due to rain. The tour will proceed, avoiding the rain until street conditions guarantee a safe ride. If it does not stop raining, the entire tour will be conducted in the safety and comfort of the minivan. Please note that clients' safety and comfort are of utmost priority, and proper rain gear is mandatory for guests choosing to "ride in the rain". Clients are asked to be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour departure, to check the weather conditions and choose accordingly. No-shows will not be refunded. Guest options on rainy days, to be communicated immediately at the Front Desk staff during check-in operations: 1) Proceed with the tour hoping for clearing weather – PARTIAL RIDE or NO RIDE due to heavy rain. Customers can decide to proceed with the tour hoping for clearing weather, with the understanding that if scooters are not ridden at all due to rain, or if the Vespa tour is dramatically abbreviated due to rain, customers will NOT be granted any refund or discount. The operator will do its best to get guests on a scooter, weather permitting. 2) Reschedule the tour for another day, subject to availability. To request a rescheduling, please contact the operator's booking department, following the instructions and using the contacts provided by your guide. If no suitable date / time is available for the reschedule, you will be able to choose any other experience available, with an equal or less value, or eventually an experience with a higher value, paying only the difference. 3) A credit, called Rain Check, (of the same amount clients paid) to be used the following days or at any other time, subject to availability. The Rain check is a voucher given to the client. The voucher is transferable and may be sold or given to others to use at a future date, and lasts up to 1 year from the date of issue. As a transferable voucher, it can be used in any other tour provided by the operator.

  • To preserve the authentic open-air feel of this eco-friendly ride, the e-cars do not have traditional air conditioning. Two small fans are provided in each car to keep you comfortable while you enjoy the Tuscan breeze. Operative also in spring and autumn, the vehicles ensure the comfort of always traveling warm and dry, so you can fully enjoy the ride in every season.

  • The tour operator reserves the right of final judgement in client participation of actual car driving, or to discontinue car use at any point of the tour. Any participant unable to drive cars safely may switch as passenger (subject to availability), or on the guide’s car if available. NO REFUND will be granted in this case. EVERYONE’S SAFETY IS THE FIRST AND FOREMOST CONCERN.
  • A THIRD-PARTY insurance for civil liability is INCLUDED in the price of the tour. As for any vehicle rental, please note that clients will be given two options to choose from, to cover vehicle damages (either one of these two will need to be chosen in order to rent the car): subscribe an additional insurance (€20,00 per vehicle, not refundable) or sign for a guarantee deposit of €500,00 on their credit card. NO CASH PAYEMENT.
