This full-day wine tour leaves from Dijon and covers two of Burgundy's best-known wine areas, the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune. Three tastings pour Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Photo stops break up the drive through the rolling vineyards. The day also includes visits to wineries, a walk through the historic center of Beaune and a lunch break for local food. The route runs from the Gevrey-Chambertin area to Meursault, a short, selected look at how Burgundy makes its wine.

Itinerary

  1. 16 Pl. Darcy, Dijon

    Meet your guide 10 minutes before departure at 16 Place Darcy, 21000 Dijon.

  2. Gevrey-Chambertin

    A short drive leads to the first winery, in the Gevrey-Chambertin area. The tasting here centers on the Pinot Noir of the Côte de Nuits.

  3. Beaune

    The next stop is Beaune, at the center of the Côte de Beaune, for a second tasting. This one is built around the region's Chardonnay.

  4. Beaune

    After the tasting, a leisurely walk through the historic center of Beaune passes Place Carnot and the Hospices de Beaune (entrance not included). Free time for lunch follows, at one of the town's restaurants.

  5. Meursault

    In the afternoon the group heads to the southern Côte de Beaune along the Route des Grands Crus. A third winery near Meursault hosts a tasting of about one and a half hours, centered on the white Burgundy of Meursault and the different profiles of Côte de Beaune wines. After the third tasting, the tour returns to Dijon.
