This private tour goes through Portugal's UNESCO-listed Douro Valley, one of the world's oldest wine regions and the first demarcated region for Port, since 1756. The terraced vineyards are part of the route. The day is built around the group. A knowledgeable guide adapts the route, and guests either choose from pre-defined itineraries or leave the planners to select the wineries, lunch spots and activities to match their tastes. Wine tastings at estates and lunch are not part of the group tour price. They are charged per person, depending on how many people taste wine and join for lunch.

Porto
The tour can start in Porto or another location. Wine tastings at estates and lunch are not included in the group price and are charged per person, depending on who tastes and who joins for lunch. The operator's team gives details on the pickup location.
Peso Da Regua
Suggested first stop: a free walk with views of the Douro River.
Casal de Loivos
Suggestion: a museum and family cellar with regional tastings of olive oil, almonds, wine and bread.
Pinhao
Suggestion: a traditional cruise on a Rabelo boat (optional), or a relaxed walk along the Pinhão riverside.
The Douro Valley
Suggestion: lesser-known viewpoints over the valley, good for photography.
Sabrosa
Suggestion: a traditional lunch at a family-owned Vintage House with views of the winery, plus a guided visit to the cellar.
Amarante
Suggestion: on the way back to Porto, an old village with wine and local product tastings. The tour is 100% customizable, so other villages can be chosen, and the destination experts help plan the route.
