La Conreria Winery Tour in Priorat: Cellar Visit, Montsant Cliff Views and Four Wines
The visit starts at the entrance of La Conreria, a Priorat winery founded in 1997 by people with deep roots in the region. A guide walks the premises and explains the local terroir, the vineyards and the winemaking methods used for different varieties. The Montsant cliffs form the backdrop. The Carthusian monastery of Scala Dei also stands in this mountain area. Eight centuries old, it helped shape the land that is now the Priorat Qualified Denomination of Origin. The tour ends with a tasting of four wines from the winery's range, plus samples of wines at different stages of development, drawn from tanks and barrels. The whole visit lasts around 1.5 hours.
