Concha y Toro Winery Tour from Santiago: Premium or Marqués de Casa Concha

This half-day trip leaves Santiago by road and heads south to the Concha y Toro winery, a century-old estate. You choose between two options when booking: the Premium Tour or the Marqués de Casa Concha Experience. Premium Tour A driver collects you at your hotel at the time of your chosen departure. The visit starts in the 22-hectare (54-acre) park, with a look at the outside of Casa Don Melchor, built in 1883. Inside the new Casillero del Diablo Sensory Experience, the guide explains the growing conditions that suit this site and walks through the basics of winemaking. Next comes the Bodega de Guarda del Alto, where the winery ages its high-end wines. A gallery there marks four milestones in the winery's history. From the Concha y Toro viewpoint you look over the vineyard, then walk through a garden planted with the main grape varieties used around the world. Four wines are tasted along the way. The group then moves to Plaza Concha y Toro, a space given over to wine, food and art. Before leaving there is time in the Wine Center store, which sells Concha y Toro wines you can take home. The return to Santiago arrives 3 to 4.5 hours after pickup. Marqués de Casa Concha Experience This option follows the same route with 30 extra minutes in the vineyard. On top of the four wines of the Premium Tour, it adds six wines from the winery's Premium Reserve, a cheese tasting and a workshop led by a professional sommelier. Visitors under 18 cannot join this activity. Good to know The order of the stops can change for organisational reasons. Pickup depends on the departure time. The 9 am and 2 pm tours collect from hotels in Providencia, Las Condes, Vitacura and downtown Santiago, within 1 kilometer either side of Metro Line 1 and as far as Manquehue station. The 8 am tour picks up at all hotels in Santiago.
