Chianti Vespa Ride near San Gimignano with Tuscan Lunch, Three Wines and Olive Oil

FlorenceA guided ride on a 50cc Vespa through the Chianti hills, starting from the Tuscany on Wheels office near San Gimignano. You follow the tour leader on your own scooter or ride as a passenger, on roads away from the crowds. The route passes fields of vines, cypresses and Tuscan farmhouses, with several stops for photos and for the guide's stories about the area. Lunch is at a local winery. The owners walk you around their property first, then serve a traditional Tuscan meal with three wines and an extra virgin olive oil tasting. The afternoon ride brings the group back to the starting point. Before departure there is a safety briefing and a short driving test, so bring all the documents the tour requires.

Meet the Tuscany on Wheels team at their office in Barberino Tavarnelle, at the Poggibonsi Nord exit of the Firenze-Siena expressway, 12 km from San Gimignano. Parking is free, or ask the team in advance about a paid pick-up. Then come the pre-departure procedures and a driving test. Bring all required documents.
Tuscany
After a short safety introduction the group sets off on the panoramic roads of the Chianti hills, past vines, cypresses and rural houses. Several photo stops along the way, with stories from the guide about the area.
San Gimignano
A local winery where the owners show you around the property, then serve an authentic Tuscan meal with three wines and extra virgin olive oil to taste.
Sant'Appiano
Back on the scooter for the last stretch of the scenic ride, with more stories from the guide.
Return to the Tuscany on Wheels office
The ride ends at the starting point in the afternoon. Before leaving the group, a last quick check of the vehicle.

- Up to 4 travelers per booking.
- T&C in case of rain: Weather conditions can change quickly and may vary from one area to another. A rain forecast does not mean the tour will be cancelled or changed. Tours operate as scheduled whenever conditions are safe. Bringing a raincoat and a set of spare clothes is recommended. In case of light or occasional rain, the Vespa tour will continue as planned. If heavy rain makes riding unsafe, the group will stop and wait for conditions to improve. Participants will then return the Vespas to the operator's office with the tour leader, and the tour will continue by minivan. Vehicles cannot be left along the route. In case of persistent heavy rain before departure, the tour will operate by minivan.

- The height of the saddle from the ground is 81cm (2'). Not recommended for people smaller than 1,60m (5’3”)
- Drivers must be at least 18 years old and passengers at least 15 years old
- A driver's license valid in Italy is required and must be presented upon arrival.
- Previous scooter/Vespa/motorcycle driving experience is required and mandatory: A driving test is conducted by the team before the tour to verify the real ability to drive and being confident on a Vespa. Any participant unable to drive scooters safely may ride double with the partner or won’t allowed to attend the tour. No refunds will be granted in these cases.
