Six-Hour Chianti Vespa Tour from Florence via Castellina, Fonterutoli and a Winery Meal

Chianti looks different from a Vespa: the smells and sounds of the countryside reach the rider directly. The group meets at the agreed time in front of Piazza Mentana in Florence. Scooters and helmets are handed out, a short safety briefing follows, and the ride heads out toward Chianti. The route passes through Castellina and Monteriggioni and through villages such as Lornano, San Leonino and Fonterutoli. There are several stops to rest, hear about the history of the area and take pictures. Halfway through, the group visits a Chianti winery to learn how one of Italy's best-known wines is produced. After the wine tasting comes a traditional Tuscan lunch or dinner with two typical dishes and an oil tasting. The group is back at the meeting point in Florence six hours later.
