Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
Waiheke IslandJoe and Jen, a local Waiheke couple, curated this five-stop gourmet tour around island produce and venues. The group never exceeds eleven guests. The day opens with local extra-virgin olive oil and a Waiheke pantry-style tasting, alongside a guided wine tasting at Jasper Ridge Estate. Next is handcrafted gin or vodka at Waiheke Distilling Co, with one of the best views on the island, and then award-winning wines at Awaroa Winery or Te Motu Estate, among the vines. - Kia Ora! Waiheke Island is a small island in the Hauraki Gulf and as such must be reached by ferry from downtown Auckland. There are two main ferry companies that service the island: ISLAND DIRECT Island Direct is the locals choice and the one advised for the return ferry journey. Book the ferry promptly once the WOW Tour is confirmed. Using the same date as the WOW Tour booking, book the 9:15am Auckland to Waiheke and the 4:15pm return. Island Direct can be booked online. Booking ferry tickets early with Island Direct guarantees a seat, and passengers only need to arrive at Island Direct's Pier 13 up to 10 mins before the ferry departure time. Island Direct also has a ticketing machine next to Pier 13.
- FULLERS FERRY SERVICE Should Island Direct be unavailable or Fullers be preferred, tickets can be booked online. There are also numerous ticketing machines at the Downtown Ferry Terminal. To meet the tour, be on the 9:00am Fullers departure from Auckland. Fullers operates on a first come, first served basis, and arriving at least 60 minutes prior to departure time is highly advised. In peak season the queues for Fullers can be very long, so allow plenty of time.
- Up to 11 travelers per booking.
- Mobile or paper ticket accepted
