Altanza Winery Tour in Fuenmayor with Vineyard Walk and Cloister Garden Tasting

Altanza is a winery in Fuenmayor, in Rioja Alta, and a wine tourism stop in its own right. The tour starts there at the agreed time and lasts about one and a half hours. The guide walks through the winery's rooms and covers the history of its wines, how the project began and the grape varieties grown on site. Outside, the group strolls among the vineyards around the winery to see what gives these wines their character under the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin. The tasting takes place in the cloister garden: three wines, guided through their aromas and flavors, with cheeses, cured meats and Altanza Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The tour ends at the winery entrance.
