This shared afternoon tour starts in Reims at 2:00 pm, in front of the tourist office at Reims Centre train station (Cour de la Gare, 51100 Reims), and is back at the same spot at 6:30 pm. The first stop is Hautvillers, the village regarded as the birthplace of Champagne. You walk its streets and visit the church where Dom Pérignon is buried. The rest of the afternoon goes to two family-run Champagne producers. At each one you learn the traditional production methods and taste three of the estate's signature Champagnes. That makes six different Champagnes in total, from two small growers rather than a large house.
