Private Chianti and San Gimignano Day Trip by Minivan with Farm Lunch and Wine Tasting
A private driver collects the group in Florence and drives a minivan between the Chianti hills and San Gimignano. The day ends at a family-run Tuscan farm, where lunch is served in the garden or in a private room. The farm table brings wine together with olive oil, Tuscan desserts, pecorino cheese, balsamic vinegar and truffles. The road passes through villages and past the work of local craftsmen. The drive back crosses the quietest, most rural part of Chianti, with a stop for photos among vineyards and olive trees.

Strada Statale 222 Chiantigiana
The driver collects the group in Florence (hotel, B&B or private apartment) and follows one of Italy's best-known wine roads through the Chianti hills, past olive groves, cypress trees, vineyards and medieval villages.
San Gimignano
The first stop is San Gimignano, with about 1 hour and 30 minutes free. The small walled hill town near Siena is known as the "Town of Fine Towers" and had more than 70 towers in the Middle Ages. It is also known for saffron, Prosciutto Toscano and Vernaccia di San Gimignano white wine. The main square has Gelateria Dondoli, and the narrow streets have artisan shops.
Podere La Marronaia- Le Colonne Biodynamic Winery & Farm
A family-run organic farm comes next, with a countryside lunch: bruschetta, lasagna or homemade pasta, cured meats and Tuscan ham, pecorino cheese, dessert and more. Alongside it come tastings of Chianti, Chianti Riserva, Sangiovese and Vernaccia, extra virgin olive oil, pepper and truffle olive oils, and balsamic vinegar. The driver then returns to Florence.
