Franschhoek Guided Wine Walk Between Three Farms with Farm-Style Lunch, 6 Hours

This is mainly a walk, not a ride: about 4 km on foot over six hours, linking three wine farms, Mont Rochelle, Mullineux & Leeu and La Cotte Heritage Farm. An air-conditioned vehicle is part of the day. The route goes through vineyards and gardens, over river bridges and along country lanes, with mountains on every side and few other groups around. The guide tells the stories of Franschhoek's more interesting characters and how the Valley of Dreams built its reputation as a world-class wine destination. Wines are poured at the farms along the way, and the walk ends with a farm-style lunch at La Cotte Heritage Farm, under oak trees with a view over the valley.
