Cockburn's Port Lodge Tour of the Gaia Ageing Warehouse with Smithes Room Tasting

Cockburn's ageing warehouse is the most extensive in the whole historic centre of Vila Nova de Gaia. Under its huge roof 6,518 casks of Port rest, and the lodge is one of the few with its own crew of coopers. The Ports age in oak casks and large vats, watched by a team of tasters and oenologists until each wine reaches its ideal maturity. The scale of the warehouse also allows a large stock of Ageing Special Reserve to be held. Its style and balance come from more time in wood than any other Reserve Port.
